London’s biggest and longest running Fair Trade Fair is back again – this time in the magnificent surrounds of the Bloomsbury Ballroom on December 5th and 6th December 2009. This annual event attracts 1000,s of visitors who enjoy its many stalls, entertainment and workshops.
The Fair showcases produce ethically sourced from around the world. Jewellery, accessories, homewares , clothes, food, drink – the list is growing all the time.
As well as an opportunity to purchase unique and unusal gifts, there is live music and workshops providing opportunities to learn about the communities that the goods are produced in and the difference it makes to their lives.
After shopping and attending a workshop, it is possible to relax and enjoy a cup of Fair Trade Tea or Coffee or treat yourself to a glass of Fair Trade mulled wine.
The Fair Trade Fair isn’t just for Christmas, but it is a great opportunity to buy your loved ones unusual and contemporary produced in developing countries where Local communities benefit. It is also an opportunity to learn about the communities, the difficulties they face, and the difference having a sustainable income and industry makes to every aspect of their lives.
