Cascada

Cascada is an anglo Colombian business we are a small family run business by Charley Jones and Lida Chaves. Cascada began in the millenium year when we began as street artisans in the u.k and South America where we would exhibit our hand made goods on the streets ,beaches or festival thoroughfares. The ethics of a lot of South American artisans is to collect the raw materials from the natural environment around you and then make your own products from this and display them to passers by, tourists or other arisans We grew and learnt in a slightly anarchic way of trading .We currently buy hand made products from artisans of Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil and Ecuador ethical trading just comes naturally to us as we only deal with our friends. We currently pay for the school fees of Marcelo in Ecuador , we have doubled some of the original wholesale prices to the makers and we give annual bonuses to all the artisans and they know that if they have a problem such as workshop expansion they can come to us for help. Our Products range from Ladies woven jackets, amazonic seed jewellery, colombian cottonwear, bamboo ornaments, to childrens wear. We continue to work and develop amongst friends. We believe that the simplicity of ethical trading will allow the world to sleep well each night.
